General Description:

To work within the site warehouse environment and undertake the Receipt, Storage and Issuing functions of the logistics Supply-chain in support of material requirements of operations.

Main Tasks:


What the post holder has Responsibility for;

* Safety
- Health & Safety of yourself & others. Responsibility to ensure working areas are safe, clean, and tidy, where any perceived risks are mitigated.
- All events including positive Safety observations are timely reported to line managers and managed through Synergy tool to a successful conclusion.

* Process
- Ensure all H&S standards and polices are adhered to in accordance with the Babcock Values Standards and ways of working that achieve 'Home safe every day'
- Action Supplier deliveries within goods- inward department & transaction through Inbound Receipting process.
- MHE operation to assist & support warehouse tasks where required.
- Complete regular housekeeping as part of warehouse operative role.
- Maintenance of Stock integrity through Product compliance including checking of CofC, Shelf life to ensure through-process control.
- Action Outbound picking activity in response to Babcock customer demands, ensuring accuracy, correct condition, and sufficient packaging for onward distribution.
- Activity includes both sitting at work-station location, walking, some climbing steps and being exposed to different temperatures when comparing different working environments and time of year.

The post holder has Accountability for;


- Personal Health & Safety & of others operating in / around work area.
- Completion of various Warehousing tasks as detailed in Job Description.
- Achievement of daily targets aligned to Warehouse operating processes.

The post holder has delegated Authority for;


- Recommend, propose and adopt innovation and change in relation to operational tasks to improve performance or process.

The post holder will be measured by indictors including;


* Performance through Receipts and Issues activity
* Process Accuracy aligned to IRA monitoring
* Delivery of tasks / Process targets set.
* High performance of departmental Health and Safety
