Job Title: Vulnerability Management Tools Specialist
Location: Remote
Rate: £500 - £550 per day (Inside IR35) Umbrella Only
Vulnerability Management Tools Specialist with experience in the deployment, secure configuration and operation across a range of tools such as Qualys, AWS Inspector, Rapid 7, Microsoft Defender, and Tenable.
- Setup and Configuration: Configure AWS Inspector by defining the assessment targets and installing the necessary agents on the EC2 instances that need to be evaluated.
- Assessment Template Creation: Create assessment templates that specify the rules packages and duration of the assessment. These templates determine what vulnerabilities and configurations will be checked during the assessment.
- Running Test Assessments: Execute the assessments based on the predefined templates, either manually or by scheduling them to run at regular intervals, to scan for vulnerabilities and security issues in the EC2 instances.
- Analysing Findings: Review the detailed reports generated by AWS Inspector, which include information about discovered vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and compliance with security standards.
- Remediation and Reporting: Prioritise and remediate identified vulnerabilities and issues, and generate reports for stakeholders to track the security posture and progress of remediation efforts.
