Role Title: Transition Manager

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Hybrid - 1 day a week in London

Rate: £730 - Umbrella only

Key Skills/ requirements

  • Practical experience of successfully managing a variety of transition projects using a variety of methodologies, including business change and IT projects, covering the entire project lifecycle. This experience should include a selection of the following:

  • Practical experience of working in a project delivery environment, providing leadership and clarity of planned deliverables, and required work packages to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Experience of engaging and coordinating delivery directly with strategic partners and suppliers
  • Experience in Microsoft office tools including project management software
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver results through others
  • A methodical thinker who understands how projects and programmes align to strategic plans

  • Essential qualifications: Recognised change and project management practitioner qualification, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM Practitioner or relevant consolidated change management experience
  • Essential technical knowledge: Experience of collaborating effectively with suppliers and other project or programme teams who deliver using agile methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience or working in an 'outsourced business' environment
  • Practical experience of delivering projects in the financial services sector

Key Deliverables -

  • Planning and managing the delivery of NS&I and Partner activities/ Deliverables
  • Reporting updates to the Programme Manager and other governance forums
  • Managing the transition project on a day-to-day basis, to the agreed methods and standards
  • Be a key decision maker, ensuring successful delivery within the agreed tolerances
  • Identify, log, manage and report on assumptions, risks and dependencies
  • Ensure project benefits are baselined and reviewed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Business Change and Service Transition teams to maintain alignment with the programme objectives and deliverables
  • Ensure projects are suitably sunded and budgets baslined, forecast, and maintained
  • Project and financials reporting to required business standard
  • Conduct and commission, if required expert reviews/analysis of project deliverables
  • When required, manage any third-party supplier relationships to ensure deliverables are fully met
