My client based in Edinburgh are looking for a Test Manager to join their team on a contract basis for an initial 3 months and fall into 'Small Business Exempt' from IR35. They are looking to establish a Testing Function and thus have a need for a Test Manager to provide a holistic approach to quality and set this up from scratch.
Requirements:
- Experience working within a Software Engineering Company/environment
- Won't be a complete need for automated testing but experience in manual test case building and scripting is necessary.
- Experience setting up Test Functions from scratch in a less structured environment
- Won't be directly managing individuals, however experience in setting up and managing a function independently will be hugely advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Document and assess their current testing capability
- Create recommendations for Testing moving forward
- Create a plan for the build of this function
- Go on to build the process tools and start to support the team in building out a permanent team of testers.
Soft Skills:
- Be able to influence and collaborate with a diverse team
- Self-starter
This business have offices in the central Belt of Scotland, and in Bristol so are open to either location. This role will be Hybrid so please only apply if you are able to frequently visit the office in either location.
