Role Title: Technical Architect
Interview process: 1 virtual interview with programme leads (1 hour) | 1 virtual interview with team leads (1 hour)
Location: Primarily a fully-remote role. We may need to go on client site once or twice a quarter for planning days, this usually takes place in Newcastle, Blackpool or Birmingham with expenses reimbursed.

Role purpose / summary
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will work with engineering teams, be responsible for supporting the design, development, delivery and maintenance of IT products and services.
This role also involves designing the solution for the current state of the service but also envisioning a solution that will work in the future-state architecture of the programme with patterns/designs that could be replicated beyond HAS and PIP.
Key competencies:
Designs systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact and business or technical complexity. Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensures they are applied effectively. Reviews the systems designs of others to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology.
Works with and challenges senior stakeholders. Can prioritise and mitigate constraints, and can turn them into an advantage. Is able to adapt the approach depending on the constraints.
Designs technical solutions by dealing with problems that span different business areas. Works across multiple services or a single large or complicated service. Draws links between problems in order to reach common solutions.
Able to listen to the needs of the technical and business stakeholders and interpret between them. Capable of proactive and reactive communication.
Lead, deliver and support technical design of a product or part of a shared platform to meet user needs and business objectives.
