Job Overview
We are seeking two experienced Technical Analysts to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. The role is based in a hybrid working environment at our Radbroke location. This position plays a crucial part in our ongoing projects, focusing on converting business requirements into detailed technical specifications that developers can utilize for coding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to understand high-level business requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.
- Engage in technical discussions and contribute to the design and architecture of data solutions.
- Work extensively with data models and be responsible for data modelling, ensuring data solutions meet business needs and adhere to best practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and process flow diagrams.
- Utilize your strong data analysis skills to assess and manipulate large data sets, ensuring data integrity and consistency across projects.
- Leverage technologies such as SQL, Scala, Hadoop, and other relevant data tools to support the development and implementation of technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with development teams to ensure technical specifications are accurately translated into functional code.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data analytics and financial crime (FinCrime) to provide informed recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development lifecycle, working closely with developers and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong technical background.
- Hands-on experience in data modelling and working with data models.
- Proficiency in SQL, Scala, Hadoop, or other related data technologies.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with accuracy and clarity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with financial crime (FinCrime) concepts and practices is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in areas related to financial crime, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of data governance practices and principles.
