My client based in Scotland are looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team for an initial 6 month contract, Outside IR35 in overseeing and guiding the Technical Design and implementation of their programme. This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment with project guidelines, best practices, and business objectives while providing hands-on leadership in troubleshooting and solution development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design Authority: Lead and chair the programme's technical design authority, ensuring all solutions align with guiding principles and challenging deviations where necessary.
- Escalation & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical challenges, proactively checking in with teams and leading resolution efforts alongside SMEs and supplier experts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the wider IT team to assess the integration and fit of Workday or Oracle (TBC) solutions within the broader technology landscape.
- Solution Leadership: Take ownership of technical aspects that fall in the "grey area" between functional and technical teams, ensuring nothing is left unaddressed.
- Stakeholder Communication: Engage with and influence senior leadership, translating technical concepts into clear, non-technical language to drive decision-making.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in leading technical design and solutioning within large-scale IT programmes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide strategic technical guidance.
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as Workday or Oracle (TBC).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
