We are actively looking to secure a Solution Architect to join Experis.

Role Description
The role of Total Reward Solution Architect, which includes Performance & Goals and Compensation SuccessFactors Modules, is responsible for supporting the Performance & Reward PODs in HRIT, HSBC Enterprise Technology for both project and BAU related activities. In particular the role will be required to:

  • Be a deep technical expert in the configuration and behaviour of SuccessFactors Performance & Goals Modules and Compensation Modules
  • Help in building Proof of Concepts to showcase the art of the possible
  • ??Understanding the current setup and reasons/justifications for the current setup.
  • ??Presenting options to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • ??Adhering to environments standards and defined processes
  • Delivery of system enhancements
  • Tactical incident and problem recovery management


In this role, you will:

  • Be required to be a deep technical expert in the configuration and behaviour of SuccessFactors Performance & Goals Modules and Compensation Modules, whilst understanding any impacts and connections across all SuccessFactors Modules e.g. EC, TAO, Reporting, RBP, Integrations etc.
  • Extensive experience of delivering full life cycle annual P&P rounds from planning > configuration > go-live > conclusion.
  • Experience in creation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Performance Templates and also Integrated Compensation Templates holding both Fixed and Variable Pay data in a single reward form (>200 fields)
  • Experience of corporate Reward complexity- compensation eligibility rules, route maps, field-based permission groups, budget groups, FP guidelines, currency, and other look-up tables.
  • Knowledge of xml, able to create & enhance combined pay statement templates, creating pay statement groups and execute the bulk launch.
  • Be part of the journey to provide better technical solutions to support the Performance journeys of employees across the bank
  • Support the co-ordination of service enhancements / augmentations that result in improved service, customer satisfaction, and process improvement
  • Working with geographically spread / virtual teams to deliver enhancements.
  • Develop understanding of the IT systems used within HR Technology
  • Using analytical skills, and working with team members, resolve problems and incidents of varying complexity
  • Analyse change requests to assess potential impacts and identify risks, necessary changes, and business opportunities.
  • Configuration and unit testing
  • Apply IT policies, procedures, practices, and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.


To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • The role will require deep technical and configuration expertise in both SuccessFactors Performance & Goals and Compensations Modules whilst understanding any impacts and connections across all SuccessFactors Modules e.g. EC, TAO, Reporting, RBP, Integrations etc.
  • Experience working with complex employee facing applications that share data amongst each other
  • Experience of working on global deployments in an IT project delivery capacity.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques
  • Experience of working in an IT Operations or IT Development function.
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • Experience of working with IT Vendors and internal customers
  • Recent experience of writing functional specs and design docs
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio
