Role Title: ServiceNow Process Lead (MOD SC)
Duration: 7-8 Months
Location: Hybrid - occasional travel to London OR Corsham
Rate: £600/d - Umbrella only

Role purpose / summary

The Process Lead will:

  • Understand relevant Defence strategies, policies and standards (eg Data, AI and API) in their current state and as their implementation matures, their relevance to CPA and the degree to which they need to be embedded in ACOE CPA governance.
  • Design the target federated governance model (for Official and Secret) for CPA across Defence and work withACOE leadership on the implementation plan. The governance approach should include:
    • Clear definitions of ACOE/business area roles and responsibilities, measures, the shared responsibility model, processes and governance, reporting and automation intent, GDS lifecycle checkpoints
    • Overview of the integration of CPA into the overall ACOE approach to reuse
    • Overview of the integration of CPA into the overall ACOE benefits framework
    • Principles and overview of funding/recharging/billing for CPA services
    • Clear scope of responsibilities for service management
    • Overview of the front door, demand management, licencing process and governance
    • A policy for citizen development (including the degree to which governance should be federated)
    • Overview of the integration of CPA with Defence Data and AI governance (as relevant)
    • The proposed approach to the governance needs of business areas that might not be able to provide the governance themselves.
  • Provide policy and governance support to the delivery partner(s) in their delivery.
  • Specify the governance automation user stories and requirements for the pilot.
  • Define the pilot policy, guardrails and governance for the platform in collaboration with the rest of the team and the delivery partner(s) and taking into account the federated governance model.
  • Assure the implementation of the pilot policy, guardrails and governance.
  • Produce pilot guidance material and communications and work with the ACOE communications lead to publish and promote them.
  • Design a scorecard to provide analytics for the success of the platform as it scales.
  • Support the definition of the funding/recharging/billing approach
  • Support the creation of the roadmap.



Key Skills/ requirements

The Process Lead should have experience of:

  • Implementing ServiceNow
  • Business architecture and business analysis for digital services
  • Policy and governance for platforms in a complex organisation



Other requirements

  • A general understanding of complex process automation technologies
  • Good people skills
  • MOD SC Required
