We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the migration and rollout of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system within the NHS. This role will focus on managing the technical workstreams and infrastructure elements of the project, ensuring a seamless transition to the new system across multiple sites.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the technical aspects of the EPR rollout, including infrastructure readiness, system integration, data migration, and user acceptance testing. You will work closely with technical teams, clinical staff, and key stakeholders to ensure that the project meets its objectives on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Coordination: Oversee all technical activities, including infrastructure setup, data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with organizational goals and clinical needs.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to technical workstreams and infrastructure, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project milestones are achieved, including managing third-party vendors and internal teams.

  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that all technical workstreams are delivered within financial constraints.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and risk assessments. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all technical workstreams adhere to NHS standards, data protection regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale IT infrastructure projects, preferably within the NHS or healthcare sector.
  • Extensive experience managing the rollout of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems or similar healthcare IT solutions.
  • Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, data migration, system integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, budget control, and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with NHS standards, data protection regulations, and healthcare IT best practices.
  • PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
