Job Title: Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Location: Hybrid Northampton or Knutsford 2 days per week remainder remote
Rate: Up to £415.00 per day via an approved Umbrella company

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team working with their client in the financial services sector.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of owning a workstream for delivery within a large project environment
  • Capable of ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes in line with Barclays policies and standards
  • Management of RAIDs and resource requirements with appropriate and timely escalation of problems and issues
  • Experience operating with Agile and Waterfall methodologies (Scaled Agile Framework experience advantageous)
  • Desirable experience would include - Financial services background, new product / green field delivery, complex data delivery, third party vendor management, complex integrations
  • Defining and delivering multiple projects to plan
  • Develop and maintaining effective relationships with teams across the organisation, ensuring effective delivery of applications into the production environment
  • Working with project / product managers, to manage projects to milestones, risks, issues and finances
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with the Technology team(s) to manage dependencies and ensure projects deliver to time, cost and quality measures
  • Managing the planning, coordinating and supervision of all activities related to the design, engineering, development, testing and delivery of projects
  • Scoping, planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Being responsible for management of approved budgets and commitments related to the portfolio of projects
  • Ensuring that all governance, risk policies, procedures and compliance policies are adhered to

What we're looking for:

  • Project management qualification with experience of managing a portfolio of projects (£500K - £2M cash per annum) in a complex organisation
  • Significant experience of Project Management and IT delivery
  • Experience of software development methodologies, Waterfall and Agile
  • Previous Experience of delivering in an onshore and offshore development model

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Project Management experience within a financial institution (preferred, not essential)
  • Experience of full Microsoft Office suite
