Role purpose / summary

As a Lead Business Analyst within the clients' KYC and Fincrime team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of business initiatives. You will lead the business requirements phase, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that enhance customer experience, mitigate risk, and optimize cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Requirements Analysis:
    • Lead the end-to-end business requirements process, ensuring clear and concise specifications.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
    • Develop and maintain detailed requirement documentation, including use cases, process flows, and data models.
  • Solution Design:
    • Design pragmatic business and operational solutions that maximize benefits while achieving desired outcomes.
    • Ensure that solutions align with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and best practices.
    • Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean methodologies.
  • Project Delivery:
    • Lead business analysis activities from project inception to implementation and transition to BAU.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Monitor change-related service level agreements with suppliers.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess risks associated with business initiatives.
    • Implement controls and mitigation strategies to safeguard customer experience and minimize risk exposure.
    • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Provide leadership and direction to junior business analysts.
  • Innovation and Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and enhancement of products and services.
    • Develop and implement innovative solutions to address business challenges.



Key Skills/ requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of KYC and Fincrime regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in leading complex projects and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Experience with payment card business or payment processing.
  • Understanding of the clients' products, services, and technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
