Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement infrastructure improvements to enhance performance, availability, and security.
- Manage hardware and firmware upgrades across the infrastructure.
- Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects.
- Ensure smooth daily IT operations through regular system checks.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, covering system design, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide second-line technical support to the Service Desk team.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting IT infrastructure across various physical locations, with occasional site visits required.
- Identify and report capacity concerns, potential service threats, or performance issues.
- Actively monitor and respond to security alerts and system faults.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Ideally possess CompTIA Network+ and Microsoft AZ-800/801 certifications.
- Demonstrable experience in managing DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
- Experience with large-scale SAN management.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including VLANs, routing, switching, and IP addressing.
- Solid understanding of communication technologies, including SD-WAN, SIP, and ethernet.
- Technical proficiency with the following systems:
- Acronis & Veeam backup solutions
- Cisco Meraki
- Microsoft technologies: Windows Server 2022, Azure AD (Hybrid), Intune, SCCM, and M365
- Watchguard firewalls
- HP Alletra storage
- Mitel VoIP systems
- SD-WANs
- VMware vSphere
