GIS Solution Architect
Contract until 22/10/24
Milton Keynes/Hybrid (1-2 days on site)
A GIS solution Architect role is required to work with a Capgemini team for our client in the review an existing geospatial system which is used for linear asset data with this large CNI organization. The role requires analysis of the existing geospatial system and the data both loaded and extracted on a regular basis. The extraction of data to 30+ other systems is also to be considered. The aim Is to recommend a way forward for this major geospatial system based on analysis of the current solution and requirements for a future replacement.
A background in Solution Architecture within GIS technology is required. This should cover expertise with Esri Product, SQL database and data extraction technologies such as FME. The ability to create solution assessment reports and provide feedback to stakeholders is desirable.
We are looking for:
- 5+ Years of experience in Enterprise GIS Systems design, integration and management.
- 8 + Years of GIS Solution implementation using Esri, Microsoft and Oracle technologies.
- .Hands on GIS data processing experience in loading data into Esri GIS solution using FME
- Knowledge of the latest geoprocessing tools within the Esri Product
Technical Skills
- Geospatial data concepts including vector, raster, attributes, and metadata.
- Esri products such as Enterprise Portal and Server
- Geodatabase technology awareness
- Geospatial Data processing expertise
- Oracle database expertise
- ArcGIS Desktop for analysis and data processing
