About the Role:

We are working with a leading client in the cybersecurity sector who is seeking a talented and self-motivated Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. This exciting contract role offers the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in the UK, contributing to the development of cutting-edge security software.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications that meet defined business needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, innovate, and solve complex technical problems.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality software.
  • Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation, including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Technology Adoption: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to guide the team in adopting best practices.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • C++ Proficiency: Strong experience in C++ design, coding, debugging, and testing.
  • CI/CD with Jenkins: Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
  • Python Expertise: Proficiency in Python 2 or Python 3 for scripting and automation tasks.
  • ARM Architecture: Knowledge and experience working with ARM architecture.
  • Operating Systems: Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Version Control: Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Web Technologies: Experience with web technologies such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Browser Development: Knowledge of browser internals or development experience with browsers.
  • Automation Tools: Experience with automation and test components using Python.
