3rd Line OS Core Engineer - Exciting Opportunity (MUST BE DV CLEARED)

Are you an experienced 3rd Line OS Core Engineer looking for a challenging role in a dynamic IT environment? Do you have a strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, and IT service management tools? If so, we want to hear from you!

Your Role

As a 3rd Line OS Core Engineer, you will be part of a team supporting high-profile users while ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise infrastructure systems. You will play a key role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents using Event Management and IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.

This position requires shift working (07:00 - 15:00 or 11:00 - 19:00) and travel to customer sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting - Provide 3rd Line support for Windows Server, Active Directory, and IT infrastructure.
  • Event Management & Monitoring - Utilise SolarWinds and SCOM for system monitoring, incident triage, and escalation.
  • Security & Endpoint Management - Work with Trellix (McAfee) and MECM/SCCM for system security and patch management.
  • SQL & Directory Services - Support and manage Active Directory, SQL databases, and ITSM tools to maintain infrastructure integrity.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Provide technical guidance and support to users and key stakeholders in a high-profile environment.

Required Skills & Technologies

  • MUST HAVE CURRENT ACTIVE DV
  • vCentre - Experience managing virtualised environments.
  • Event Management Tools - Strong knowledge of SolarWinds and SCOM for proactive system monitoring.
  • Security & Patch Management - Hands-on experience with Trellix (McAfee), MECM, and SCCM.
  • ITSM Tooling - Familiarity with IT service management processes and tools.
  • Active Directory & Windows Server - Expertise in user administration, group policies, and system troubleshooting.
  • SQL Database Management - Ability to support database-driven applications and services.
